Meet Dr. Jeremy D. Vos
Dr. Jeremy D. Vos is a board-certified otolaryngologist at ENT Medical Services in Iowa City, providing comprehensive ear, nose, and throat care for adults and children throughout Eastern Iowa.
Dr. Vos grew up in Macomb, Illinois, just across the Mississippi River, and became familiar with Eastern Iowa through visits to his grandfather’s farm near Pella. He moved to Iowa City at age 18 and completed his undergraduate degree in mathematics at the University of Iowa, graduating with highest distinction.
He attended medical school at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honors society. Dr. Vos then completed a General Surgery internship in Nashville, Tennessee, followed by four years of specialty training in Otolaryngology during his surgical residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
After completing his residency, Dr. Vos returned to Iowa and joined ENT Medical Services in August 2006. In addition to practicing the full scope of otolaryngology, he serves on the Humanitarian Efforts Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, the national professional organization representing ENT physicians.
Each fall, Dr. Vos participates in a surgical mission trip to southeastern Nigeria, where teams of surgeons perform approximately 90 head and neck procedures during a two-week period to provide care for underserved patients.
Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Vos enjoys bicycling and participates in RAGBRAI each year across Iowa. His additional interests include kayaking, hiking, traveling, digital photography, and choral singing.
